Communication is vital for deaf people and at the Deaf Association we provide communication support to meet the needs of deaf people within West Norfolk. We can provide:
All our interpreters are appropriately qualified, and follow a professional code of conduct. History (Background) After much consideration, feedback from deaf people and due to public demand, we have set up an Interpreting agency in West Norfolk. Although the service is new we already have many requests for interpreters and hope we can strengthen this service in the years to come. We feel this is an exciting move forward for the Association which will address the shortage of interpreters nationally. We hope to gain funding for training to encourage more people to train to be sign language interpreters, speech to text reporters and lip speakers. Please contact the Association for more information on this service.
