Tinnitus: you pretty much have to acepct it and get used to it. I have had it for years and eyes and it doesn't go away, they can't really successfully treat it and I have found that doctors really aren't all that concerned with your suffering. Try to get used to it. Try to avoid loud sounds for prolonged periods. A PS2 at 50-80% level of sound for an hour at a time won't be harmful. I use my sounds to relax me. If, for example, I have to go to bed and my husband is still up watching TV, I tune out HIS sounds and concentrate on the ringing in my ears. It relaxes me and helps me get to sleep.BUT to rule out anything else or something more serious you should probably go see your doctor for a diagnosis.
