Norfolk Deaf Advocacy Service provides advice and support for Deaf people in Norfolk.

If you are deaf and need help with letters, bills, or any information that you do not understand because English is not your first language, or if you just need some support or advice, our local Deaf Advocates can help you.

Examples of issues for which support can be provided are:

  • Housing
  • Benefits
  • Family
  • Running a home
  • Independent Living
  • Technology
  • Moving House/Bidding for properties
  • Bereavement

Open Door

Open DoorFor smaller matters and day-to-day assistance, Deaf people can call in to the Deaf Centre for help during opening hours. This service covers such things as:

  • Arranging appointments
  • Translating letters received
  • Preparing letters on behalf of the Deaf Client
  • Filling in forms
  • Making telephone calls
