9:30am Sunday 1st May

GEAR 10k Route Map

Each year thousands of runners gather in King's Lynn to take part in a 10k run that takes in the beautiful scenery & landmarks around the town, to raise money for their chosen charities. And this year some of our wonderful supporters are running for WNDA!

"I’m Donna, one of the trustees of WNDA, and for reasons I can’t quite fathom, I’ve said I will run a 10k to raise money for our charity.

At the (almost young) age of 54 I decided to run my first and last 10k as a way of raising money for two brilliant charities, WNDA and Emunah, which both do wonderful work.

I only started running a couple of years ago and it still hurts - I’m pretty sure I am not a natural in any sense of the word and certainly won’t be breaking any records when I take part in the Grand East Anglia Run on May 1 in King’s Lynn. I may win slowest person in the race and will keep you posted!

As a trustee I want to help raise the profile and some money for our fantastic charity - everyone works so hard and we all know how vital funding is. We are lucky to have some amazing volunteers helping our team and I hope to raise a little to show my support. Both charities are very close to my heart and I want to help both of them as much as I can.

If you feel you can sponsor me then please click on the GoFundMe link. I’m only doing this once, so won’t be asking again!"

We're so proud of Glenda & Donna for taking part in this race and for raising funds to help us continue supporting our wonderful community.

It's not too late to join them - You can still take part in the race, or if running isn't your thing you can cheer them on along the route, they'll really appreciate your support!

And of course you can always make a donation - Any amount you can spare will be greatly appreciated and goes a long way to providing much-needed support to the Deaf and hard of hearing across West Norfolk.
