Supporting Deaf people and those with acquired hearing difficulties to live independent lives

Our volunteers mean everything to us. Without their dedication & generosity we would not be able to provide as many of the invaluable services that we do.

Our volunteers help hundreds of people every year in West Norfolk in so many varied ways...

If you would like to make a difference to peoples lives, gain new skills, meet new people, and enjoy the feeling that helping others gives, get in touch today.

Whether you can donate an hour or a day of your time, you will be an integral part of a vibrant, enthusiastic, friendly team that is deeply appreciated.

Hearing Support Volunteer refresher training

It has been so lovely to invite our hearing support volunteers back to the centre for some top-up training and lunch with Anna and Chris.

We pride ourselves on the high quality, invaluable support we provide to our community, so these training sessions really enable us to ensure we're providing the best possible support to those in need. And with our support services & social groups returning, our volunteers really are vital to us - Without them we wouldn't be able to provide many of the invaluable services we offer.

Thank you to our volunteers!

No8 The Old Bookshop volunteer

"I feel privileged to be a part of the No8 bookshop team. It's a great place to volunteer, always interesting, meeting lots of lovely customers and being a part of a supportive team, under Sarah's inspirational guidance."

Our wonderful volunteers Colin & Doreen manning our exhibition stand in Tesco Hardwick, as part of their annual Deaf Week event. Tesco also very kindly donated £250 to help support our invaluable services.
Many thanks to Colin, Doreen & all our dedicated volunteers - We couldn't support our community without them!
