We provide a range of training courses and workshops, all designed to help improve communication with, and for, those living with hearing loss.

All courses are run by certified professionals, can be BSL signed, and are nationally recognised.

FREE Family BSL Course

A FREE 6-week course that is open to all family members and carers of D/deaf children.

Introducing BSL in schools - Education professionals workshop

BSL will be available as a GCSE Option from 2025. In preparation for the introduction of BSL to the curriculum, WNDA is offering a series of workshops for schools and teachers supporting the creation of inclusive communication environments, which will enable mainstream primary and secondary school learners to develop an understanding and appreciation of the language, whilst enhancing communication for children and young people with ALD, hearing and speech difficulties, and concentration issues.

Students will soon be able to learn BSL in schools as part of their GCSE's.

To support both students and parents WNDA is offering a series of workshops that will explain what this means, how this will work, and how learning BSL will benefit students in a multitude of ways including improving concentration as well as overall communication skills.This workshop is open to parents of children of all ages, as BSL will be introduced at primary school level as well as high school.

Deaf Awareness Training

At WNDA we are passionate about improving the lives of Deaf people and those with acquired hearing loss. This includes ensuring better inclusivity by raising awareness of the challenges this community faces in a hearing world.

As such we have designed a number of programs and workshops to help support organisations.

This courses are tailor-made, and are designed to raise awareness of the deaf community and those with hearing loss, to ensure all services are as accessible as possible.
Suitable for individuals, organisations, schools or private groups, this course is ideal for anyone wanting to improve their service offerings, understanding, and increase awareness.

This course can be booked as private sessions for organisations, schools, or groups and can take place at your chosen location or at our Deaf Centre based in King's Lytnn town centre.
